School Store

Located at the back of the Cafeteria, the School Store is open Mondays and Thursdays from 8:15 - 11:15 am and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:00 – 3:40 pm. In addition to PE and music program performance uniforms, the store offers a wide array of YIS-branded goods, from sweatshirts and other Dragons clothing items to backpacks to key chains to coffee mugs and memo pads. They're a good way to show school spirit and they make great souvenirs! Some of the new items available at the store were designed by students.

Also available at the store are tickets for YIS concerts and drama performances, as well as classroom supplies such as specialized calculators.  

The School Store only provides recycled paper bags as it helps our environment and also helps to keep items at a low price. YIS logo shopping bags are also available for 1,000 yen along with waterproof eco bags for 1,500 yen.

School Canteen

Food service in the School Canteen is provided by Cezars Kitchen. A debit system is employed to enable students, staff and parents to enjoy the food services without the need for using cash on a daily basis. At the start of every school year new customers are set up with an account and a four-digit account number that gives them access to the  service when they go through the food line. A variety of payment plans are available. Monthly menus and other information about the service, as well as log-on for viewing student canteen accounts, are available through the Cezars Kitchen website. Students may also bring their own lunch to the canteen, however often they wish. 

In addition to lunchtime and snacktime settings for students, parents are also welcome to stop by the canteen for a coffee or snack during school hours (except for the busy lunchtime period). The canteen is also used for a variety of school events, including regular PTSA coffee mornings.
